New Shippers
For the past while I've been using bubble wrap shippers for my DVD's. They protect the DVD well, but I was so unhappy with the fact they were not recyclable. The paper was firmly glued to plastic bubble wrap and I use cases and cases of them. As this last case ran out I began to search for a recyclable alternative.
My personal goal is to live a recycleable lifestyle. I choose to take my own bags to stores, I buy larger packages to reduce waste, I don't drink bottled water, etc. So using non-recyclable shippers was just not consistent. It took a while to find a shipper that would hold a DVD securely but not be too fragile to hold up to mail handling.
Below are before and after pictures. The new shipper is on the left, its all cardboard and completely recyclable. If you order several DVD's at once, I will still use the bubble wrap shippers but most folks only order one DVD.
Today my cast comes off. It will make typing much easier! Hopefully the surgery will also make my hand better.
