More about insurance claims for chicks
Two weeks ago I got a letter back from the Post Office. My insurance claim for the dead chicks had been denied. The letter stated that the packaging had not been damaged so the contents were not harmed.

I called their help desk. The claims agent suggested that I should have enclosed a signed statement from the teller who took my claim stating she was refusing to accept the dead chicks (see my earlier blog).

So I went back to the post office and got that letter. I mailed that appeal off to the claims center this week, asking that the denial of claim be reviewed.

The remaining birds are doing well. And my flowers are growing -- this week I got my first dahlia from the flower garden where I planted the chicks.
